Cleaning the oil storage tank is a relatively dangerous tank operation, because the oil vapor is not only flammable, explosive, but also toxic. Therefore, when washing cans, the following safety provisions must be strictly observed:

1. Open the manhole, stratified inspection tank bottom oil quality, determine the oil storage elimination and treatment plan.

2. Canning personnel must wear work clothes, work shoes, work gloves and gas mask. Signal rope and safety belt should also be brought, and special person should be assigned to monitor the tank outside. The time for entering the tank should not be too long, generally 15 ~ 20min is appropriate, and work in shifts. In addition, there should be on-site medical staff on duty.

3. Use brooms or wooden tools to clean residual oil and sewage. Iron and steel tools are strictly prohibited.

4. Use effective ventilation.

5. Steam method -- all hole covers in the tank should be closed at the beginning, until the temperature reaches 60 ~ 70℃, and then open the cover to continue steam washing, so that the residual oil in the tank is completely dissolved.

Oil tank cleaning must be in accordance with the requirements of the regulations, strict operation procedures, cleaning and operation of oil tank harm control to the minimum.

Cleaning standard:
